As a child, Jason would spend hours strumming his guitar, sitting in front of the television screen, as he was transported to the farthest reaches of his imagination with every new story. It wasn’t until 2008, after beginning his study at the prestigious Berklee College of Music, that he discovered his love of both film and music could be satisfied with a single profession, one that seemed as though it were tailor-made just for him. In 2011, after earning his degree in Film Scoring, Jason moved to Los Angeles where he began interning for composers such as Henry Jackman and Heitor Pereira. During that time, he also Orchestrated, Arranged, and Engraved many of the masterworks of the great Alex North for his estate.  In 2015, Jason joined Bear McCreary's Sparks and Shadows and quickly became a key component in the management and artistic direction for many of the major projects that the company worked on. In addition to his contributions as an additional composer for many acclaimed projects under Bear, he has also engaged in several solo projects of his own. Notably, in 2017, he co-scored the latest installment of Adam Green’s legendary Hatchet Series, Victor Crowley, and, in 2018, the Emmy Nominated Web Series The Walking Dead: Red Machete for the visionary director Avi Youabian.

After a decade of work helping to shape scores of both genre-defining television series, major motion pictures, and blockbuster video games, Jason launched his own scoring company, Sugar Panther Productions, in 2020. Jason’s strength lies in the clarity of his voice as an artist. Regardless of style or genre, Jason maintains an individuality and a character that is simultaneously thoughtful and exciting. His dedication to great storytelling and passion for collaboration, coupled with his boundless musical imagination allows for endless possibilities of expression for television, film, and video game projects looking to engage an audience and leave them with a memorable impression.
